Harrison LMC Rosie Board
Check out the Harrison Library Media Center Rosie Board in the main hall. Mrs. Houser will be tallying all Rosie Ballots and posting the results for all to see. Make your vote count! Your ballot could help to decide who wins or loses! Besides...have you seen the list of rewards below??

What is the assignment you ask?

I guess it's not really an assignment. (For those in Mrs. Bennett's 9th grade English class, this is an assignment. - See Mrs. Bennet's assignment page for more information.) It's more like a challenge with many rewards. Your challenge is to read as many of the Rosie nominees as you can by April 15th. Each time you read one of the Rosie nominated books, we challenge you to submit your comments to the ReadTheRosies wikipage. We also challenge you to fill out a ballot for the Rosie Award Program.

What are the rewards you ask?

1. Each time you read a Rosie Nominated book from the 2007-08 nominee list, you can submit an entry into the library drawing for the month.
2. Each time you enter your comments on the wikipage dedicated to the book you read, you will also receive an entry for the monthly drawing.
3. Each time you enter a Rosie ballet in the box, you get another entry.
4. If you design a new cover for a Rosie book, you will receive another entry.
5. If you read 5 or more of the nominated books and comment on the wiki, you will receive an invitation to Mrs. Houser's Harrison LMC Special Library Lunch! Pizza, dessert, drinks, and door prizes awaite you at this special lunch celebration.
6. As if that's not enough, you will have broadened your mind, enriched your soul, and enjoyed reading for the pure adventure of it.
7. And...yes there's more, you will have possibly contributed to another person's interest in reading. I know...that is worth all of it, isn't it?
